How To Remove Your Google Search History Before New Privacy Policy Takes Effect

We are going to file this one under miscellaneous, because while it is not Android News, this topic was the subject of hot debate when Google announced their new privacy policy. The readers were split on the subject, with some not caring about the policy while others felt it was too intrusive. This is somewhat of a solution for those concerned about Google's new policy, because at the end of the day, they will still have some of your search history for 18 months.

Count me as one of the users that doesn't care about this. I assumed it was all unified already, so perfect, haha.

Nothing to hide, and I can still go incognito in Chrome (and thus logged out of Google) if I'm searching anything sensitive. :P

Will my search history on the browser be affected then?
Don't get your tightie whities in a bunch if you don't like my humor or get offended when I skip putting smiley faces all over. IF you cannot handle online comments and get bent out of shape, go home.

If you are like me and have a nice a nice healthy paranoia about this, I highly recommend that you also disable signed-out personalized searches as well.

To do this sign out of google and then click this link Google. There you can disable the cookie-based signed-out personal history.

Obviously this will eliminate customized search results based on your previous searches. BUt who needs that!? If you are like me you have to google terms to check your site's performance a lot, so I prefer objective "same-as-everybody-else" results so I can see how exactly how few people are seeing my page. (LOL)

I actually discovered this because I was tired of thinking I had finally outdone "Justin Bieber" for the search term "jason mccann" but I fear I shall never conquer him

I don't care if they know what I'm searching, maybe it'll help with only finding skinny girl porn.

Can someone explain why people are making such a fuss out of this? You've got Google plastering their privacy policy banners all over everything, you've got tin foil hat postings like this, I mean what's the big deal? Don't do illegal activities or search for illegal stuff - don't do anything that causes you to get a warrant on you, and you thus have nothing to worry about.

    What am I missing here?

Werd to that. I dont care. Its all about marketing. They want more data to better market. If they market better they make more money. More money for developing new and cool tech for us!!!
