Well I appreciate the support guys, and I didn't post it just because droid-life had it up. CNET and Engadget also reported the 9th as the release date.
Here's engadgets article: Galaxy Nexus lands in Verizon stores December 9th, Droid 4 on the 8th -- Engadget
Think this change of news for the Nexus has gotten us all in a sour mood....
Many of us took it as an "official" unofficial announcement because of the multiple sources. Whether this was taken with a grain of salt or not was your decision. Many of us didn't believe because it was not an official word from Verizon, and I imagine this crowd isn't as affected. I personally wasn't believing any release date till yesterday and am disappointed now, and I blame myself, I caved in lol.
As for the news team, they do a great job and keep us up to date. It's understandable why it was posted Dec. 9th as official because all the evidence given was pretty solid. I haven't read if there's been a confirmed "delay" (no official release date so not really a delay), but Friday can still happen, especially if these stores have units in stock.
This whole Nexus fiasco has affected everyone. You got the ones who don't care for this phone sick of hearing about it and the ones who care are disappointed week after week. However, I'd like to point out there's no obligation to post in these threads and add "fuel to the fire".

I appreciate the post, just two last things I would like to comment on.
"...so I do my best to verify all info I post and don't use words like 'Officially or Confirmed' unless it is fact."
That, my fine sir, should be the way news articles are posted. Thanks for your understanding.
Oh, and Shadez, you ARE awesome. Much prefer you and the gang here at DF to any other android site out there!
Sent using common sense.
The Google Galaxy Nexus by Samsung is suppose to be a bid deal, because it was the first dual core 4G LTE device developed for Ice Cream Sandwich. So...where's the fanfare Verizon?
If it's launching on Friday, Verizon should do something to announce the launch. I'm just saying...this is a little pathetic.
Bah I am getting tired of hearing about it and I am considering getting the phone! lol
If I can't get my hands on the Gnex Friday I may take a pass and wait then get it later maybe for discounted price
My first smartphone was a Droid 1. Then I found the Nexus... Galaxy Nexus LTE unlocked & rooted...
AOKP JB build ROM, IMO JB exp Kernel,
Root Apps - Titanium Backup, Root Explorer, SetCPU, ROM Toolbox, Rom Mangler/ClockworkMod, CWMR Touch, Lightflow, SD Maid, Nova Launcher
Now everyone's believing yet another rumor that it won't be released on the 9th. Again, we are trying to get as much info for you guys as soon as we get it.
