One More Version of Flash Player Coming to Ice Cream Sandwich

Even though Adobe has explicitly stated they were shutting down development of Flash Player for mobile devices, they recently indicated that there will be one more version developed for Android 4.0/ Ice Cream Sandwich. It's interesting to note, that the current version of Flash Player does not work with ICS, thus the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus will have to wait for a bit for that functionality. Luckily for those of us that like to use Flash based apps and games, Adobe is not leaving us out in the cold. In the future, it looks like mobile computing will have to completely rely on HTML5.

Storm, did you mean to write "Luckily for those of us that like to use Flash based apps and games, Adobe is NOT leaving us out in the cold. In the future, it looks like mobile computing will have to completely rely on HTML5."?

I reckon that those that were naysayers on the Nexus due to loss of Flash in ICS and how it was a deal breaker when compared to the Apple offerings, can now retract.

HTML5 isn't an Adobe product, but is a standard that is able to support much of the functionality that Adobe Flash provides (thus rendering Flash essentially obsolete).
