Jackson doesn't have it. Hattiesburg doesn't have it. The entire Gulf Coast doesn't have it. But....Tupelo?!?!?
I'm with you on this why not put it in Jackson first and not some farm town dammit.

Actually, the "farming town" idea is quite a brilliant business move, financially speaking.
They can basically corner the internet market in areas that have little to know access. And I believe the area mentioned has several college campuses that normally aren't calculated into population data.
They'll be the only game in town. I mean, the best competitor in Versions eyes is no competitor. I really can't disagree with the logic.

Exactly, those of you living on cities have multiple options for internet. Living in rural Georgia my ONLY options are VZW or satellite. No DSL even.
I pay the same price for my data plan as the rest of you.
Unless they accelerate the move to rural areas projections are 2013 for my area.
Oh and by the way, you folks in the big cities like to eat? Try it without farm towns.
    Just saying !

I am in Michigan, born and raised. There ain't too many farm towns left, like there used to be. It's all big Agro for the most part. And sadly, they don't roll like the family farm. Some of the facilities I have seen are disgusting and possibly criminal.
But I am down with everything else you said. And yes, I love to eat. In fact I dabble in my two favorite sins of Gluttony and Sloth, as oft as possible. It's especially easy as I don't think they're sins, just constructs Man has tried to impose on mankind. Judging others and calling them sinners sounds a lot more like a sin to me, if I use logic and reason.

Fellas from the great state of Master Bruce Springsteen,

If you want to try, by hook or by crook, to get the Garden State full coverage I have a suggestion. Mind you it's not guaranteed to work, but it's guaranteed to fail if no attempt is made.

You have several people in your state with high positions in the NJ government, who actually seem to care about the state and its citizens. I am referring to Chris Christie and Corey Booker.
These two actually understand the meaning of being a good public servants, and are on different sides of the aisle.

Write these gentlemen about this and provide some solid reasons for them to try and get things moving.
I would say that the best items would be one's which directly effect jobs and the state economy.
    Points like:
The more service, the more opportunity for employment in upkeep of said services.
The fact that businesses are shifting to more android and Google based solutions for their infrastructure. Meaning greater service would make New Jersey more attractive to new businesses to startup in the state. And attract current businesses to build branches in the state. I think you already have lower tax rates than the majority of the surrounding states. So it makes NJ just that much more financially attractive as well.
I would also look into contacting those behind the casinos and hotels on the Shore. Explain the benefits that the coverage would provide.

Again, let me reiterate that these are not foolproof. Evidenced by this fool coming up with the suggestions. But any of the actions mentioned above can't hurt, and aren't all that time consuming in this day and age.

I wish you luck, and hope you give some thought to making an attempt. And most importantly, get anyone you know in the state to do the same. Even provide them with a basic template or stripped down version of what you come up with. This will result in the contact made, to come off as many different unassociated voters petitioning for the same thing. A forwarded identical email doesn't get the same attention that what appears as individually crafted requests do. The latter gives the impression of more time put into the effort and sprouting from seemingly many individuals minds.

Good luck again and get the word out, even to any business owners you may have any type of contact or relationship with.

The squeaky wheel gets the oil!

I would like to apologize for bringing up anything political that may have rubbed anyone the wrong way. It was irresponsible of me to introduce a subject that can lead to things getting out of hand and derailing an important thread.
I forgot that it's best to keep such items out of the forums.
Especially a forum I have great respect for and would be lost without.
I would still have a top clock speed of 550 if it wasn't for this institution of learning, giving, sharing and helping.
I humbly ask that all will understand my embarrassment and be able to forgive me.
    Thank you
With utmost respect to Droid Forums and all its members. Especially the great people behind the site who in a million years could never get all the credit they are due.

    Sincerely
