Interesting. Looks like Hampton Roads maybe getting it beginning of 2012. I used to live in Yorktown and was just there this past weekend so 4G there is sounding good to me.

The official word that verizon reps here at the beach are telling people is that we are looking at late october, I was just hoping we might have it turned on earlier

Late October? Wow Verizon really is working fast and meeting their schedule for getting up 4G everywhere. Now all they need to do is go down on their prices .

    4G availability <> accessibility
    4G @ AB airport <> 4G in Austin
Grossly misleading statements like what that map and statements about 1/2 population having 4G available to them = epic fail

Yeah "available" probably means at some tiny area of the city haha

Ahh that sucks. They must have either turned it off or just be testing the area around the historic triangle.

My guess is that's a testing area. So I at least get it at work.

Nice, I used to work in Altoona, PA! Can't wait until my town gets it, seeing how it's a decent-sized college town, I figure it's just a matter of time.
