    100,000 Droids on the loose?

Bloomberg reports that Motorola has managed to sell around 100,000 of the 200,000 Droids on hand during the first weekend of sales according to analyst Mark McKechnie at Broadpoint AmTech. This is a very good sign of things to come for Motorola. He also estimates Motorola will sell one million Android based smart phones in Q4 of 2009. “I see the first few days as encouraging,” McKechnie said. “There seems to be pretty good demand -- they’ve taken the right steps and picked a good partner with Google on the Android side.”
