This seems a bit troubling...From page 2 of the user manual:

    Cool down
In very limited circumstances, such as where your
phone has been exposed to extreme heat, “Cool
Down” message screens will appear. To avoid possible
damage to your battery and phone, you should follow
these instructions until the phone is within its
recommended temperature range. When your phone
is in “Cool Down” mode, only emergency calls can be
    made.

Just read that... not too sure how I feel about that. Could be a good feature to protect the phone unless it ends up having an over heating problem, then we may find ourselves getting used to say "Sure, I'll look that up in a minute after my phone cools off."

This isn't a new feature of the Bionic. The Droid X has this as well, if not most other Moto phones as well.

If you look at the external pictures, you'll notice it has a chrome ring unlike the test units we've seen. The hump is also not that pronounced.

Funny, Verizon and Motorola will launch an ad campaign and we'll all be "meh, seen it"

It's probably in cases like if you leave your phone on the dashboard of your car with the windows rolled up for seven hours in 100 degree sun and then you decide to do some web surfing on LTE.

And am I the only one that's astonished that the FCC is also completely incompetent on taking a decent picture of the damn phone? Does this phone radiate some sort of EMP field that shorts out cameras? What the hell . . .

So it would be safe to assume that the phone that hits stores will look more like this than what has been leaked by the testers? The phone not having that lip on the bottom does so much for it's over all look...

Pretty safe assumption, agreed on the lip not being the prettiest thing ever, but if it is No LTE vs. Have Lip, I'll live with the lip.

Finally side views , extreme close ups of the phone...

The pages are still up. For some reason, even the other pages, some folks had problems viewing them months ago.

And according to the FCC docs the LTE antenna is in the lip so at least Moto is putting it to use...lol

Hey...does the Bionic come with the charging door? That would be nice...

Why the user manual show the Droid X for putting in the battery...lol Funny...

The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.

Yes, inductive charging battery door is standard. I'm curious as to whether or not it comes with that small wireless charging pad that's pictured in a few photos. It's barely bigger than the phone and I haven't seen any that size on the market. That would be sweet!
