I dont think the phone is Nvidia powered.
Until the second generation of LTE chips ships that are more power efficient (not to mention 4G roaming and more areas covered), I am completely happy with the Droid 3.
Great device that would be battery challenged with the current LTE radios.
512MB or RAM!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!???
Desktop Windows runs on that. The phone is so capable on that amount of RAM. Next year, with new high end games maybe not so much.
Bottom line is they make a phone:
-ready for an upgrade in about a year
-cheap to manufacture
In addition, this phone is respectable and current.
They'll soon f up the home launcher (ala original Moto Droid) or otherwise cause a bloatware onslaught to make the Droid 3 bog down. Capitalism: buyer beware.
anyone not getting this phone because of ram is missing out on a great phone. sure its 512, but its ddr2. People have thrown everything they can at the D3 to bog it down, and it just keeps trucking like a boss.
What about those of us that 1) like hardware keyboards and 2) won't see 4G in our area for at least 18 more months?
Oh, wait, we don't count in the consideration, now do we? I for one think it's nice Motorola didn't neglect a large segment of their population. Also, the D3 might be unlocked in the near future. I don't see the Bionic being unlocked any time soon, do you?
The phone is run on DDr2, why are people still complaining about 512ram? Especially the people looking to get the Bionic. You only have the same amount of available ram use as we do. Your "1gig" of ram, the rest is used for that webtop mode or whatever that is.
This phone is great. Can't wait for root.
@furbearingmammal completely agree. I'm in the same boat you're in more than likely.
