I will believe this when I see it on my Droid.

ya you should be banned from all forums for life and your droid should be taken away from you forever. Enter Sarcasm. Seriously though how sweet is this news. Yesterday I was so worried that droid would be ditched by verizon for the latest and newest phone and now this comes out. Its going to be a good year for the droid, no matter what comes out in the next year.
If anyone feels like they come here and see someone getting or get attacked everytime. Hit the report button PLEASE! Flaming or bashing will not be tolerated. This is my only warning for this thread. Next time some will get a vacation for a few days

Have a nice day!

I can't wait. Is it coming the 22nd still? Anybody hear anything new?
Well,
as far as i know the update procedure, google publishes the os/update,
carrier are adapting.
So that can mean, that you wont have your update at 22nd....
but maybe im just wrong![]()
Was anyone truly afraid that the Droid wouldn't get the 2.1 upgrade? Was all the doom and gloom present because everyone thought Google would just forget about the Droid now that the Nexus One is being sold? That mindset seemed weird to me. You better believe that Motorola and Verizon want the Droid to receive every single update that its hardware can handle.
I know Google wants to sell their phone, but I would imagine that they also want to support the growth of their OS no matter what particular phone it is on.
"Since yesterday wasn't such a good day to be a Droid owner, today is shaping up totally different! What do you guys think?"
Thank you for sharing the information. I love my Droid as it is now and now I look forward to loving it even more.
I think the reason some Droid owners were feeling pessimistic was because of how the Motorola rep reacted when he was asked about 2.1 on the Droid at yesterday's Google event. It is nice to hear that 2.1 is a sure thing for the Droid now.
