Actually, that isn't too far off from my OG Droid's battery usage. I always have a charger with me and almost daily plug into my car charger to bolster it for the second half of the day. And sometimes at night, I charge it again. So, this doesn't really bother me...

I just walked out of the Verizon store with an extended battery and back, price was like $40 bucks out the door, it was marked 50...the guy said 39 + change, I go...alright? I have big hands and actually prefer the bigger case. I'll report back with some real world usage in a few days...until then here's hoping for root instructions

I dont mind the battery use. I think the phone is amazing. I dont expect these phones to last long considering Im always playing with it. I just always make sure I am prepared. I make sure everytime Im near a charger Im charging it. I notice my Fiancee always complains about her battery life but everytime we are in the car she isnt charging her phone, the way I see it thats her fault. I am curious to this massive extended battery. Is the back door huge?

I'm sure between Locale/Tasker and SetCPU the battery life can be significantly improved.

Yeah, you shouldn't have to, but it's not that bad to learn Locale and it's got a ton of other useful features. I love having my settings change automatically based on location.

I just got back from work and my battery is at 60% after 7 hours. It have average use during that time. Not too bad imo, my OG Droid usually was about 70-80%.

Oh, and I was on 3g no 4G here yet

    lol...

It looks like, based on comments on here, LTE seems to be the likely culprit... either keeping a signal, finding a signal, or just flat out using it.

I can attest to that as I am in a non LTE area and my battery life seems about the same or so as my OG Droid was so it has to be LTE. Are the crazy speeds worth it if your phone is dead in a few hours?
