Its not a very attractive phone, so if functionality is your thing then perhaps, but good enough for the Canadians.![]()
Hhhmmm I don't know about this phone looks poorly made could just be the pic I just came over from my BB that I miss very much but the senorita wanted the moto droid so I said what the heck lets take advantage of the bogo so I got the Eris its ok but after playing around with her moto I want one I told my self I would wait for passion but from reading around looks like vwz wont be getting one soon. I may just return this phone and just wait it out for a while since I like the droid moto just hate the key pads I want all touch like nexus one
I think this will be a great low-end Android. Verizon has the high end Droid and the also fairly high-end Eris, now they add this little guy. It looks cheaper and has a lower resolution screen and camera than the Droid, no flash, but it still has a keyboard and Android. I think it will be a nice addition to Verizon's line-up. My wife might even get one if they feel good in your hand, that is the ONLY thing I'm afraid of. They look a little cheap, I just hope they don't feel that way.
Oh and do not want Motoblur :|
I'm sure it'll have it's niche market, but doesn't appeal to me. Small screen, and even though the d-pad isn't there, there's still 'wasted' space where the keyboard could be larger.
Not feelin' the metallic silver...
the droid will smash this weak ****
Droid sequel already give it some time place! Anyway the keyboard looks better on this one... and the color is interesting.
SO whats the deal with the BLUR OS, is thatbetter than the Droids operating system?
I'm due to buy a droid in a few weeks.
Samsung Galaxy Nexus
ROM: Team Sourcery!
MotoBlur isn't a whole different OS. Underneath it is just Android and will run the same apps and do the same things. The difference is the UI or User Interface. Many things will LOOK and to a point behave differently. These usually include text messaging, special widgets, home screen modifications, dial pad, etc. MotoBlur is made to integrate facebook and whatnot a lot more than stock Android. I don't know too much about it though, I've never used it.
There is another thread that I read which I happen to agree with. That those photos are from the 'early'/beta Droid. Happens in the WM market all the time. A phone is released and then a few weeks later (since security is relaxed) the photos of the test units surface and it's assumed to be the 'next' version. Verizon has a high-end and an intro end Android device. You can bet they will not be introducing another for a WHILE (I'd be surprised if it was before Q4 of this year)... these type of phones are meant to have a LONG life cycle.
