    This is great. I'll pass on it because I don't trust myself to not screw up and void the warranty on the thing, but for the hacking community this is an awesome accomplishment. Can't wait to hear about all the cool mods people make from this!

    Re: DROID HAS BEEN ROOTED @NeonXero if you where to read the first page. the "Method" has already been explain. go into the Recovery of the Droid, and simply Flash the file you've renamed "Update.zip"

    seems like every time people question about what the root does they get a propaganda'ish vague-general answer...and I suspect it's because people do it simply to hack it, rather than have a true cause.

    in real-life terms people, what exactly will rooting the phone give people the capability to do? (Delete pre-loaded apps like Amazon MP3)...what else? Yes we understand it gives "Administrator" access. But what could you do now that you couldn't do before...and I don't mean "anything is possible."

    Give some examples, not saying "mod capabilities."
