FRG01B .SBF to Unroot to 2.2 instead of 2.0.1

Haven't seen this posted yet, and it could come in handy so we don't have to go back to 2.0.1 any more. You know the .sbf file we all use to get back to stock via 2.0.1? Well there is a .sbf file for 2.2 FRG01B now as well. I flashed it myself to test, and it seemed to work just fine.

The original post, over at alldroid.org - FRG01B.SBF for Droid courtesy of RootzWiki - Droid Releases - AllDroid Public Board - FRG01B.SBF for Droid courtesy of RootzWiki - Droid Releases - AllDroid Public Board - AllDroid.org > Home

    The download link - http://www.wikifilez.com/Root%20File..._UPDATE_01.sbf

Of course, this all assumes that we're using the latest OTA file, but that's looking more and more likely.

Yeah my thoughts exactly - I've used that 2.0.1 .sbf file probably 100 times over the last 6 months, so this will hopefully simplify that process.

edit: ok maybe not 100, but a LOT

I probably used it 100 times before I figured out how to use recovery =/ lol

FRG01B might be the latest OTA ATM but aren't they talking about 2 updates for the DROID now? Will probably never load the actual OTA update on my phone, I wouldnt gain anything Ive already had for the past month =D

Only reason I would use a stock rom for is to send it in to the insurance company.

I needed this... My Droid Incredible replacement is coming (my Droid keeps shutting itself off and VZW is sending me an INC to replace it)... I needed a stock 2.2. Question... does this roll the recovery image back to stock as well?

    EasyRoot fix?

I used EasyRoot with FRG01B but the FRG22B OTA removed root. Can I do this to get back to FRG01B and use EasyRoot again?

If you're at rooted FRG01B and you want to go back to stock 2.2 FRG01B you can use droidmodupdater 12. It won't work if you're at FRG22D rooted, but you can load FRG01B, then install the updater and in one touch go right to stock FRG01B. Then you can wait for the FRG22D update or install it yourself.

That's how I did it, no sbf involved. Very easy to do.

Look at MotoCashe1 Rooting the Droid 1 - regardless of OS version post. There an issue with the OTA's where it is restoring the recovery back to stock. This post will help resolve this.
    RAZR; ROM: ICS 4.0.4 Stock
    OG 1; ROM: ChevyNo1 SS 5.6 |
    Kernel: 1.0 lv
    1 Use RSDLite Correctly | 2 Root D1 any OS | 3 Unroot Froyo 2.2 | 4 SBF Root & Unroot | 5 RSDLite Error
