Awesome!! I could not get tether to work on BB 0.4 until I read through this thread. I did the *228 then cleared the cache on my tethering app and now it works again. THANKS guys!
Hey guys. Just noticed this thread today. I've been having some tethering problems for the past month, both on wireless tether and PDAnet. I thought it was my phone, because there were a couple other issues that required a warranty return for my Droid 1. So, a couple days ago, I got my replacement Droid, rooted it with Sapphire 2.02, installed my apps, aaaannnddd....still...same problems. I did the *228 thing and ran your ping tests. These are my results:
Ping statistics for 126.96.36.199:
Packets: Sent = 2000, Received = 1994, Lost = 6 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 63ms, Maximum = 3794ms, Average = 102ms
Even though there was a steady stream of data, that data was going at an average rate of about 0.5 kbps. I could not load any webpages or anything even though the pings were going through. This seems to be my problem with my tethering, not that it stops, but after a few minutes, the connection (even though it is a "working" connection) gets so slow it becomes useless. Any tips? Help? Anyone???
