For those who don't make backups and don't wipe any method is going to cause more issues, and that I would say is user error.
More than once the actual fix, while half the people here were trying to help the other half was because some sort of update was needed to the app. Either some rom wasn't configured right or rm itself needed tweaking...I have no idea which. That unknown period of time when everyone is trying to find out what the current fix is going to be this time is what I'd prefer to not be stuck in.
Now...not having a /nandroid/updatezip folder with all my update.zip files with their original names in it where I need to copy them to root and then rename to update.zip: I'll grant you...that process can be improved. That's a nice feature CW has.
If CW had that, and you could SBF clockwork I would give that a try if I had to root. RM itself I'll opt to pass on.
I've got a feeling if people just used CW without RM they'd run into less problems.
