    Battery life sucks

I took my phone off charge this morning and 8am made maybe 2-3 phone calls all lasting 1-2 mins, and maybe 6 texts. and by 11am it was at 70%.
Im running bb v.4 with nextheme over clocked to 800mhz max 250 min.
What could i do to make my battery a whole lot better?

also if i use rom manager and go to 2.0.1 will i get the OTA update to go to 2.1?

It could be something is running in the background, or the kernel you're using.
First, try a different kernel and see how that is for a day. If you still see the issue, look at your Battery Use in the settings and/or download Spare Parts from the Market (if you don't have it already), and look at your Battery History.

To answer your other question, yes. If you revert back to Stock 2.0.1, an OTA update will come shortly to prompt you to update to 2.1.

Check your usage to see what is killing the battery and possibly try another kernel as suggested.

I'm running FRF84B 2.2 with a 1.2ghz overclock (run at 1100mhz) and I get 15 hours of decent use before I hit 30% to 40% remaining battery. Wifi on all day, gps on all day, all email handled via my phone.....

I don't have a lot of widgets either...and those can drain battery if constantly pulling from the network updates.

Battery life doesn't just suck, something has to suck it. You need to look at what is sucking your battery...and it's not OS 2.2.

I checked my usage and everything is normal, just voice calls, display, phone idle, cell standby, android system, android os, and handcent.

I tried downloading the 2.0.1 rom off rom manager and it wouldnt download.

What Launcher are you using? Try switching back to the stock launcher for a day and see if that makes a difference.
    Cool CM Tricks
custom_backup_list.txt - make a list of files in /system that will survive a nightly install (ringtones, notifications, system apps, wallpapers, whatever)
in Terminal Emulator, set this as your shell command: "/system/xbin/su -c /system/xbin/bash". You get all the features of bash, root access, and you can still use the initial command field for whatever you want (default is adding /data/local/bin to your path)

Can someone point me in the direction of a stock 2.1 update or 2.0.1? please?
