therein lies the problem. I mustve missed the better terminal part rushing........i straight copied back into the system/framework. Should I throw the phone out now?
so i tried it both ways using root explorer to set permissions and rebooted and keep getting fc on everything. then tried it using TE and still get the same force close everytime. what am i doing wrong????
Sort of an old post, in case others are running into issues with losing accts, etc figured I'd pass thing along since it was driving me nuts. I used the adb method to pull the framework.apk, made changes to the eri.xml and pushed back over via adb. Reboot and my gmail was gone and my contacts were empty. Added gmail back in and my contacts wouldn't update with Facebook.
My guess here is that because the framework.apk didn't get recompiled and sent things into a wonky state.
Tried this and it worked for me:
Open new project with Ninjamorph.
Exit to home.
Connect to PC.
Browse to AndroidThemes/workspace/framework-resapk/res/xml on your sdcard.
COPY er.xml to the desktop.
Edit the file.
Place file on sdcard.
Eject phone from PC.
Open Ninjamorph, existing project, browse to eri.xml, select.
Browse to edited eri.xml on sdcard and select.
Hit yes, yes, yes, etc.
This worked for me, your mileage may vary.
