    App Task-ending

Does anyone know of a way to prevent certain apps from being killed if memory runs low? This is regardless of its state (foreground, background, nearly innactive, whatever). Maybe doing something with swap levels?? I'm running stock Bugless Beast V0.4. Can I edit any system files or run an app or something? My problem is that MeeboIM keeps closing when I'm chatting and I don't realize it. When I switch back, I'm logged out and i'm 90% sure that it's been killed. I am having a similar problem with Launcher Pro (every time i hit home, it only shows the shortcut apps and the background and loads the shortcuts on the desktop like half a minute later along with the app drawer.
