    need help

    So im thinking about rooting my phone but reading all these is confusing me.So to root my droid i have 2.1 i need to downgrade to 2.0.1? Ijust need a tut how to root from 2.1 stock..and whats this froyo thing?

    Install Sprecovery.
    Create backup...always create backup
    Flash Froyo or any other rom you'd like to. All done.

    Froyo is the next version of android... 2.2

    If you don't know how to backup...Stop until you do.
    hint: I name my backups like this: sg6.0_20100428 or ss4.2_20100626 to easily find them later. rom and date.

    Got your pm. To get back to stock just flash the SBF file for stock 2.01 and then take the over the air (ota) update to 2.1

    That file is in the 3rd link of my signature, first post of that thread.

    This update will occur automatically.
