    Help flashing a new Kernel!

    I recently rooted my Motorola Droid to Android 2.2 with a 600mhz Kernel following dmartins step by step guide. http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dro...tml#post528613

    Now that I've had some time to mess around with this kernel, I was wanting to flash P3Droids low voltage 1ghz kernel, how do I go about doing this?

    I'm really new to this, so any helpful information would be appreciated.

    if you are using sprecovery you would look for the update.zip for it or if you are using rom manager you download it in the app then apply it.

    if you have any questions just ask
    rom= lfy 1.95
    kernel= p3droid 1.1
    theme= luna with hints of gold

    Find the kernel you want, download it, when finished it will bring a message up to backup and wipe data/cache. Do a backup if you haven't in awhile but DONT wipe data/cache. You don't need to wipe data when flashing kernals.

    Sounds simple enough, I'm using sprecovery. So there is nothing I would have to remove then? The old kernel? Also, do you know what ROM I'm using? I followed that tutorial step by step, but I couldn't really figure out what ROM it was, just that the Kernel was P3Droid.

    Thank you very much! Is there a section on the forum somewhere, where I can learn all this?

    Last question, the build number says: voles-userdebug 2.2 FRFxx 33333 test-keys. What ROM is that? I've heard of BB and Chevys and whatnot, but I've never read about what I have.

    I don't know if this has been asked or not and there are wayyyyy tooo many search results to find my answer.
    So, I flashed my Droid which is running CM MOd v5.0.8 with a faster kernel. It's a bekit low voltage 800mhz that has 5 slots. So I have a few questions: does it mean that it will automatically run upto 800mhz or do i still need to use setcpu to push the clock up? With the kernel having 5 slots, does that mean that the cpu increases its speed at those increments on demand? i would imagine that a Droid running at a constant 800mhz would kill the battery in no time.
