Hey folks! For a while I've wanted a transparent lock screen on my Droid. But a lot of the old methods no longer work. So I took it upon myself to modify a couple of different types of framework files to have transparent lock screens. Everything works the same, except the pattern bubbles have been removed. I will be offering them for more ROMs as soon as I'm done!
Currently Available Files:
- NexBeast v.1.0.1
- Bugless Beast v.1.0 (Smoked Glass)
- Cyanogen Mod v.188.8.131.52 (HexFusion Theme)
- Cyanogen Mod v.184.108.40.206 (Coming Soon)
- Ultimate Droid New Era 1.0.0 (Smoked)
- Ultimate Droid New Era 1.0.0 (Stock)
Step 1. The first thing you're going to want to do is backup your ROM using SpRecovery or Clockwork Mod. Just in case something goes wrong.
Step 2. From your computer, download the above zip files for your ROM and extract it. There should be a file named "framework-res.apk" inside. Place that on your SD card root.
(For Bugless Beast / NexBeast / Ultimate Droid Use Step 3A)
Step 3A. Open your command terminal and type the following commands:
(For Cyanogen Mod Use Step 3B)
Step 3B. Open your command terminal and type the following commands:
Code:#su #mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock4 /system
Step 4. Once you've made the system writable, you may push the framework over via ADB.
Step 5. If done correctly, your command prompt will tell you the file transferred and your phone will automatically reboot. Once it boots up, check to make sure the pattern grid is invisible. That's all there is to it! You're done!Code:adb push /sdcard/framework-res.apk /system/framework/framework-res.apk
