Cant unroot my phone?
I installed that new DarkEgde theme last night. Everything went well for awhile. When I woke up, I tried using my phone, the touch screen wont work. Its on and everything but you cant touch it. I tried flashing some nandroid backups I had, no luck.
I figure it has to be hardware issue.
So I download that unroot_update.zip from Unroot & Back To Stock | Root Your Droid
I place the update.zip on my sdcard and try to flash it. I get this message:
Finding update package...
Opening update package///
assert failed: !less_than_int(1259199777, getprop("ro.build.data.utc"))
E:Error in /sdcard/update.zip
How I'm suppose to try and return this if I can't even unroot?
From what I've heard in the stores they don't really look that hard at it, plus if the screen isn't working, then they won't really be able to find out, right? Or if you can get rom manager-free on your phone, there is a way to return it to stock un-rooted 2.0.1 there, then just do the update.
the screen work, the touch doesnt. like if i try to swip the lock screen it doesnt work. i cant dial any numbers. so the screen turns on, its just that the touch doesnt work. i have rom manager paid version in my nandroid backup. i can go into clocwork recovery and flash a backup but the touch screen still doesnt work.

so if i take it back theyll know i rooted. i need to unroot.
i cant get rsd lite to recognize my droid. i have the proper drivers installed, the moto 64 drivers.
i need to get my phone unrooted bad or im screwed.
And therein is the problem. Even though you can get 64bit drivers installed and working on your PC, RSD Lite 4.6 (the ONLY program and version thereof recommended for restoring via an .sbf file) does not seem to work on any 64bit machine. So going that route, you're screwed.
And since you already said that you couldn't get to Rom Manager-free yet have the paid version, what custom recovery image is/was currently flashed on your phone? What I am doing right now is downloading via RomManager on my phone the stock unrooted 2.0.1 file I mentioned so I can put it in my folder so you can download it, xfer it to your sdcard and apply it 'manually'.
Waiting for your reply . . . I did it and it's called "update-stock2.0.1.zip" in my folder below.
Keep trying to get it flashed. I now ask tho do you have insurance? If so and you can't flash it. Drop it/break it and go get a new one.
