If I change my ROM after I rooted will I lose all my apps?

I recently rooted my phone about 2 weeks ago. I installed the smokedglass 4.5 theme and I like it but was wondering if I can change my ROM without losing my apps, settings, etc...

Figured I would ask before I went ahead and just did it!

you can download titanium backup from the market to backup your applications. "My backup" from the market allows you to backup data and applications as well as call log, sms/mms, contacts, etc.

Your contacts will all be linked with your gmail so they'll just resync when you change roms. Any wifi network passwords are also saved to your gmail so that will resync as well.

BUT if you dont wanna do any of that, just dont wipe data when installing another rom, but almost all of the roms now recommend that you wipe data and cache in order to get a clean install of everything.

    I hope this helps you

    Sometimes...usually...yes!

But they are still in the market and if you paid for it, Market knows you paid. It's just not a big deal. Actually...I prefer to lose all my apps and data and cache...wipe it all. It only takes a few minutes to reactivate your phone and reinstall your apps. When I try to save them my phone always ends up sluggish. WIpe it and start all over and you'll have a better experience.
