    So will work for people that have stock 2.1? And all you have to do is flash that .sbf using rsd lite and you will have 2.1 with sprecovery?

    Edit:Figured it out... this is really awesome I'll have to give this a try in a bit

    This is very interesting... Can anyone (more knowledgeable than I) confirm that this will only flash the recovery partition? If that is the case then this would be a much safer way to go for those looking for a way out of 2.1 OTA.

    Planning on trying this out tomorrow.

    Yes this only changes the recovery image from the stock recovery to SPrecovery but does not give you root access, but since you have SPrecovery you can install a custom rom that will give you root access

    I would love to try this, I have windows xp and didn't have any problems flashing before so this will be interesting info for sure.

    Nice... rsdlite made it possible before but this is would def make it a little easier, especially for those new to the droid.

    Would love to here peoples experience with this method

    ^ Yes. It would definitely make it easier. If I can ever get my damn phone form my girlfriend.....I can try this out. Looks like I will be flashing back to 2.0.1 soon. Wanna get 2.1 the normal way and try it t.

    If I understand the process correctly you won't flash back to 2.0.1. You are going back to 2.1 stock with sprecovery allowing you to have a rooted 2.1 ota or install custom roms from sprecovery.

    if he has rds he will be going back to 2.0.1... at least i was able to last week.
