there are no items in you collection???

My gallery has gone dumb. Please help.
I can view every pic I have ever downloaded or taken in astro. However my gallery is empty.

If I take a pic with my phone or dl one it shows up in my gallery until I close it. Then it's gone.

Any ideas? I've been trying to fix this for like 2 weeks. I'm now officially frustrated.
    thanks for any help.

Do you have a .nomedia file in the root of your SD card. If so, delete it.

I had this exact same problem. Are you rooted? If so try reflashing your ROM.

I've been through several roms since this started. I even flashed them all twice. I've gone through astro and tried to make sure they're in in correct folder. The .nomedia makes sense I just don't know where to look

OK I searched astro and found .nomedia. but I can't delete it. It is on root in search but I can't delete it from search window and can't actually find it in astro.

when the search results come up in Astro, long press one of the results. Click view directory. Then delete it.

Though lots of apps put a .nomedia file in their particular sdcard directory, and you don't want to delete those (some apps store jpg's, gif's and audio files on the sdcard as part of the app, you know?). So you are looking for a .nomedia file in the root of your sdcard, or in your DCIM folder (that's where camera pics get stored).

found it, deleted it, now gallery says loading. Which is an improvement but camera says preparing SD card. Do I need to just wait it out?
