    Rooting and warranty

    does rooting the droid void the warranty and/or verizon (asurion) insurance?

    Funny, i've always been a "why waste a post telling someone to search when the answer is a simple yes/no type of thing"

    Thus, I will answer in this thread:

    YES, rooting DOES void the warranty (technically) - however it is possible to use the SBF file to completely unroot (this I WILL tell you to search for, google "2.0.1 SBF")

    As for the Asurion, well, i'm not sure about the standard insurance; but i'm pretty sure it would still be covered if you have TEC (Total Equipment Coverage)
