    App from /data/app to system/app?

What are the correct commands to move an app from /data/app to /system/app using *terminal emulator*?

Not sure why you'd do this, but they would be:

    su
    mv /data/app/filename /system/app/filename

I would copy them before I moved them, just to make sure it doesnt screw anything up. So:

    su
    cp /data/app/filename /system/app/filename

    Have fun.

You're gonna have to be more specific then, so we can help. The above commands do exactly what you asked.

I'm just wanting to apply a MM theme to an app that needs to be in /system/app, like the HelixLauncher.

Did this work for you? I would think you would also have to first mount the system folder to make it writeable and then mount it again afterwards to make it read-only again.

    mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock4 /system
    mv filename filename2
    mount -o remount,ro -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock4 /system

    +1 on the copy suggestion
    Chris

If you apply a rom or theme - backup first!
If you don't know how to backup...Stop until you do.
hint: I name my backups like this: sg6.0_20100428 or ss4.2_20100626 to easily find them later. rom and date.
