    I need help really bad

I am trying to flash ese53 to my phone with RSD Lite v4.6
I followed the instructions from Unroot/Unbrick your phone using .sbf and it keeps saying failed. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I hope I haven't bricked my phone. This is the first time I have tried doing anything like this to my phone.

    Gotta love a happy ending
    Chris

If you apply a rom or theme - backup first!
If you don't know how to backup...Stop until you do.
hint: I name my backups like this: sg6.0_20100428 or ss4.2_20100626 to easily find them later. rom and date.

Can you still have root after doing this?

I know people have built ROMS off of ese53, so it must be possible

I had Petes ESE53, Now I'm trying CyanogenMod....But if one could flash that sbf file and still have root to build off brand new, That would be something nice BTW, How was re-activating your device procedure? PITA?
