Talking SSH tunneling / SOCKS proxy with Moto Droid Web Browser

I guess I'm asking a question I might guess the answer to (yes I know there is no root ability on the Moto Droid at present)

But since I've found a way to set up ssh tunneling with the connect bot app, is there a way for the built-in Droid Web Browser to make use of a Socks Proxy (or something similar) to access this tunnel?

I'm looking for the same thing. I tried a couple 3rd party browsers, but none offer settings for socks or any kind of proxies.

ConnectBot kicks ass, I can use RDP over SSH tunnel now Just need someone to make a app that adds socks to a browsers, or a app that intercepts http connection on port 80 and forwards them to a port of your choice.

connectbot is awesome for ssh. i'm using better terminal right now until connectbot has local shell available.

What do you get with better terminal that for example a simple file browser doesn't give you? (that is until there is root access)! Without root access, things you can do in a local shell seem kind of limited.

you can't run command-line apps with a file browser.

haven't really looked. only thing I use it for is to look at some exploits for rooting the device.
