"A dream without a goal
is just a wish..."
to be honest there are many rumors and nonsense around thigs like this on forums. in my opinion Flash for Droid is going to be just like Android 2.1...its going to be a waiting game. eventually some one will probably make a rom or something to put on a rooted droid (like 2.1) but by the summer i bet we will have 2.1 with all the goodies, including Flash.
For the time being, enjoy Droid in its 2.0.1 Glory
Current: Rooted Verizon Galaxy Nexus LTE
Retired: Rooted D1 running SS 5.4 with Chevy's 1Ghz medV kernel...barely alive
I got my 2.1 update this AM. The screen went black and I was informed that the 2.1 update was available but I was a bit disappointed that I wasn't given the option of opting out since I heard about some performance issues.
Anyway to the point of the forum and this thread...can I get flash or flash light now without rooting?
Since this thread seems to have a lot of replies...why is everyone so into flash ont he droid..what will you use it for?
I can honestly say all I have used it for on mine(desire rom) has been to stream a radio station. Other than that I have no use.
have flash support will open up a whole new door for us, I mainly want it to watch streaming video.
They say that but ill believe it when I see it. I dont really need it since I dont really watch media on my droid as it is other than quick clips on E! and discovery but it would be cool to have.
Hi, I am a non techie and I just got my droid last week. I got my 2.1 update Monday of this week. This is the most awesome gadget I have ever had, it it even cooler than my Sony Magic Link I got back in 1994. By the way my Droid has flash already installed, I got it with my 5-MP camera and I even have an app to make it into a flashlight.
