I'm rooted and I receive vibration notifications on email. I do not have the text set to vibrate. Do you have the text notification to vibrate? Open messaging, tap menu, tap settings, scroll down to notifications, tap vibrate (also vibrate when notified)

Let me know if this helps

Great! You have the ability to configure each notification differently.

    Enjoy!
