HTC One - Tutanium Backup Root Access Failed

i have searched thru the forums and have only been able to get half my issue addressed.

i am fairly new to rooting, but do know enough to be dangerous as they say.

i have successfully rooted my phone but when trying to use TB or other root checkers they say i do not have root access.

one post i found suggested updating the bianaries in SuperUser, however the described method must be a different version because there is no button to update bianaries.

if this is the correct course of action or not please advise.

    thanks

I'm not familiar with your phone…but get root checker from the market to double check status https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...l=en…how did you root the phone? and how do you know you successfully rooted?

    Thanks for your reply.

I did load root checker from to verify the TBU message and it says the same thing, No root access

I followed the video guide at How to Root HTC One! [Windows/Mac/Linux]HTCOneRoot.com | HTCOneRoot.com (for windows)

Basically you enable debugging, run a couple tools/commands and get the identified token from your phone, dump that into a box on the HTC dev site and they email you small key file that the device reads after booting to the boot loader.

As for verification of the root access, i found another post stating that if you look at your boot loader after rooting it says ***UNLOCKED*** at the top, which mine does

but now that i think about it rooted and unlocked is not the same thing.
