What are the pros and cons of Overclocking the Motorola Droid?

I'm curious about the pros and cons of overclocking the Droid...

I'm seriously considering it and want to see if it's worth it or not.

    Thanks!

Oh, I was just giving the typical canned response that I give to this question that pops up all the time.

    I see... sounds awesome!

Regarding the heating, how heated does it get? And it won't damage the phone whosoever, right?

And why do people keep their droids at different speeds? I see people with 1ghz, 950, 900, etc.. is there a reason? Why doesn't everyone do 1ghz? Just wondering.

    Once again, thanks

Some peoples Droids aren't stable at higher speeds and some are....

And the heat won't damage the phone....it has to get pretty high to cause damage...

Mine usually stays in the 80's and can get up to 100-110 F while on the internet or downloading something....and also on Navigation and basically things that require more power it gets high
