    Possible to hack an app?

Anyone with google voice app knows its one down fall is it checks for new sms only every 5 minutes. Which is your trying to have a conversation via texts its a pain to not check every minute.... so could someone edit the code to this app to make it check more frequently?
I have a lot of good how to articles about music managing and battery life etc. PM me if interested.

i dont think we can hack apps from the market. i would just contact the developer and ask them to add that option. i dont THINK we can but, honestly i dont really know. easiest thing would just be to ask them to add that (unless, have we tried?)

Google doesn't really respond directley to individual or group requests that quickly or often....

I'm sure Google wants things that way to prevent their server from getting hammered.

    :dunno: dunno tho.

Personally I just have GV 'send copy to email' so it gets pushed instantly to my phone via gmail, then I can respond to it directly from the email app and now I only have 1 app to look at and deal with (in this case k9, but the default gmail app works too and will 'thread' the conversation) and one less app running all the time and consuming battery power (i.e. GV is not running or connecting all the time).
You are right to be wary. There is much bullcrap. Be wary of me too, because I may be wrong. Make up your own mind after you evaluate all the evidence and the logic. - Mark Rippetoe

You can use baksmali and smali by JesusFreke to decompile and recompile the code.

However, the decompiled code is difficult to read for most people. I've been able to pick out a few items and make small effective changes here and there. You might get lucky and find update times listed and be able to change it to one from five.

    Never hurts to try.

Same thing that I do. Since email has push you get sms and voicemails right away.
