ok I uninstalled it and redownloaded it. Brought down notification bar and tapped it. Now it reads "Looks like your phone is rooted, but you haven't given SMupdater access yet. You *must* check the remember box". there's a "check again" prompt below it.
Did a dialog box saying SMUpdater was trying to access root. Click Remember, and click allow.
If not close out SMUpdater and try again. You don't have to uninstall it, just close and open. It should work, I had to do it twice too just now.
It's totally weird. After I click on "check again", it continues to go back and forth between those 2 questions I mentioned earlier. But behind that box I can see the programming language move 1 or 2 lines a time. So it's like it's downloading it everytime I push "I understand the risk" and "flash recovery image". ARRRGG
Reallynot meaning to interrupt but mine does the same thing...I went through the SMU the other day three times because it continued to say that and if I opened it again now, it would say the same thing. I just downloaded the Android Terminal Emulator that you guys were talking about and also got the #. Everything on my droid is moving like a dream, so although I'm perplexed I'm just going to leave it alone.
I don't really know the answer either honestly xx. I was rooted and had recovery flashed before SMUpdater. When it came out, I just had to flash the ROM, so it was less steps for the app.
I found it worrysome too, but my phone shows every sign of being updated. five screens, smoked screens, galllery, speed, and the phone info gives the correct information. Does yours after installment?
