It's a custom ROM. Think of it as an OS, like Windows 7!
Have installed DRH. Followed all steps successfully until number 6. When I try to press the mount button nothing happens. In fact pressing any of the buttons does nothing. Have been trying to root for a day or so. no suck luck. Tools are in root of SD card.... any help?
It takes a while to mount, install, etc. Just leave the phone alone and come back every couple minutes and don't force close, just keep clicking wait until it says it's done.
hey guys the guide for the root says link not found any help because i see the one step root is a bad idea and i want to have no problems when i root it
I successfully downloaded DRH from this link. Scanned for viruses and it's good to go. Can't vouch for it forever, but I did it today and no problems.
2. Transfer to root of SD card
3. Download apkInstaller from market
4. Open apkInstaller and locate Droid Root Helper - then click the DRH apk
Wow... my first contribution.
I successfully rooted my droid, installed rom manager free and premium, backed up my current rom, then installed bugless beast v0.5. After reboot, most of my apps automatically downloaded and installed, barring setCPU and Rom Manager Free (Rom Manager Premium was downloaded though). When I go to market, and select downloads, I get a message: "No downloads from Android Market." In addition, both set CPU and Rom Manager Free are not found in the market. Please can anyone help?
I would suggest downloading the AppBrain Market from the Android Market. You can usually find apps on App Brain that for some reason aren't showing up in Google's market. The markets can be quirky sometimes. Hope this helps!
Thank God I never changed my old Alltel unlimited data plan.
