    possible to have a Motorola Atrix 4g from At&t work on Verizon?

    my brother's in the military and left his phone here when he went back overseas. he's on att and i'm on verizon. i'm still using a Motorola Droid(g1). i'm curious if it's possible to somehow make his phone work for verizon and i can just put my sim card in it. noob question, i know haha

    No it isn't possible. Verizon is a CDMA network and AT&T is GSM. Verizon doesn't use sim cards (excluding the LTE devices) also.

    Even more....Verizon won't allow the device ID of the Atrix on it's network (assuming you could work all the other issues of completely incompatible cell radio) as it's not part of the device ID it has available on it's network.

    Technically speaking, it's not possible. While at&t and Verizon are both moving in an LTE direction for their 4G networks, the frequencies that the radios in at&t phones operate on will be different from those Verizon uses. Even when switching SIM cards, you will (in theory, I haven't tried it) be unable to connect an Atrix to Verizon.
