lol... yes green is good!
check build.prop for the edits and if 98kickasskernel is in init.d
damn I thought I had mentioned it here?
you can create the init.d folder manually... so you have the path /system/etc/init.d
Run the kernel install script so that 98kickasskernel gets created.
Then configure SM to run the new init.d script at boot and as root
Ah, sorry you probably did state it somewhere else but I may have missed it. I can get it to run but I can a blue Exit Code 2 now, because the sys/kernel/debug/sched_features directory isn't there. This one I'm a bit wary of creating myself... because even if it had no ill effects, it doesn't seem like it would do anything if my ROM doesn't normally have such a directory, right?
Okay so I installed the script, and set the one in data for boot, is there anything else I need to do? Do i need to pick which profile to use in the script or is it automatic?
If it continues, don't worry about it. Most of the tweaks still get applied but some tweaks don't apply to everybody.
If it stops dead you can just comment out that line with a # at the beginning...
I ran the 98kickass one after I created init.d (I'm on Droid Concepts - it doesn't have one) and got the exit code but nothing showed up in the folder.
Off topic: Do you do tweaks on regular Linux systems too?
Well, phone specific tweaks wouldn't work on Linux but others might.
linuxinsight is a good resource for finding what settings do what on a linux computer.
What app did you use to check the init.d folder?
Script Manager's root browser should find it.
