I just tried aggressive 1 and it worked terribly. Force closes on a lot of apps. I'm trying aggressive 2 now which sets the highest at 35 instead of 50 mb. I don't think my phone is handling the OOM profiles properly. Handcent is always slow to load.

I used custom SMS apps for a long time..

Finally I tried just using stock and it is a LOT faster , and I didn't really miss many of the features. Give it a shot for a day or two.

Are most of you using this on Gingerbread? I loved it on GB on my Droid 1 but went back to FroYo.

Were these designed with the GB memory issues in mind?

After running the initial V6_Super_Charger_for_Android.sh script and rebooting like the instructions say, am I supposed to run the script again?

When I go to /system/etc there is no folder or file called "init.d" , did I do something wrong?

When I first run the original script, near the very top it says something and then "file not found."

The help file instructs me to look in a folder called "/data/99Supercharger....." These instructions seem to conflict with the previous file path.

Lastly the help file also links to a webpage regarding something specific to Motorola phones.

    Can anyone explain these issues?

    Thanks
No custom rom = no init.d folder
File not found? Probably not running as root or non recommended or no busybox version installed...

Yes, in data folder for stock roms, init.d for custom roms.
Its in english and not rocket science.

Ya it links to extra help for motorola milestone phones... so why click it?

Howabout you start with step 1 and only perform steps that pertain to you and not motorola milestones on a custom rom?

I was finally able to get the 99Supercharger.sh to show up.Apparently I had not opened busybox which is apparently required to make it work.

I also may have misread the information about the Milestone but I thought it something about all/other Motorola phones.

When I run the 99Supercharger.sh script (set to root and boot of course) it outputs 3 lines and stops. Is this correct?

Also, if I go back and choose option 11 after running the 99Supercharger script do I need to then run that script again?

See Step 8 of this tutorial (linked in the OP) to test whether the settings have taken effect.

    Yes.
Disable any setting that would try to keep it in memory.
I believe handcent has an option to set it as default sms app.

I first created supercharging while on froyo to get rid of the redraws and the phone was amazingly responsive as a result.
But that only had the bulletproof launcher and minfree values.

After installing gingerbread, I took it further to arrange the groupings to be like bulletproofed froyo.

But there were issues with apps not launching because the launcher could never be killed.

So I fumbled around some more in order to have a strong launcher but not quite billetproof and came up with a creative and effective memory grouping fix to create the htk launcher.

Of course, as a result, froyo users benefit just as much as gingerbread users

    There's an Update 8.

    UPDATED July 21, 2011: - Update 8
    Improved code
Tweaked Current Status functionality. It will tell you if your current and prior minfrees match but if you apply a setting, it won't update the "prior minfrees" with the values you just installed. It will update the prior minfrees the next time you run the script.
