Question HELP: Root with no USB?

Before anything, my apologies if this thread already exists.

Now, this is my first time rooting and of course I just realized i don't have a USB for my Moto DROID. Is there any way that i could just insert my SD card into my computer and or is there another way? if a way at all. Thank ya

How are you charging your droid if you dont have a usb?
Rooting a droid 1 without a computer/USB cannot be done anymore.

I haven't looked into this a whole lot, but you might be able to use z4root. Google it, do your research, I think it might work. I think you have to download it online, tho, as I don't think it is on the market. So far as geting it on your phone, I'd probably suggest setting up a dropbox account, if you don't want to download straight from your phones browser. DL onto comp, scan for viruses, upload to dropbox. From phone, now dl from dropbox, install.

Read everything you can about using z4root first. Like I said, I haven't used it before, just know of it. I would have it and whatever ROM you want to flash already downloaded before trying to root. You can do the ROM the same way: DL onto comp, scan for viruses, upload to dropbox. Dropbox has an app in the android marketplace.

    Good luck!

You could also probably transfer files to sd card from an adapter. You'll need something like ASTRO to find and install the .apk for z4root.

Have a full battery or preferably keep your phone plugged in during the root/flashing process.

Z4root wont work on the droid 1 if you have the latest firmware.

If you ever get a usb here[APP]SuperOneClick v1.9.1 (Root, Unroot, Enable Non-Market App) - xda-developers is a 1 click way to root but some prefer the long way Root Droid 1 - regardless of OS version
