ok for droidroot helper i do mount block 4 flash bootanimation.zip uunmount block 4 reboot and still get nothing
The easiest way to get custom boot animations is to use the roothelper.apk download that and astrofile.. u simply remove the old boot from your tools folder replace with new boot img, open astro file open roothelper install it hit the button that say mount mtd3 i think it was and hit flash boot animation ur done.. no need for the sdk or adb shell its simple.. u must be rooted tho and have busy box installed.. check thread apparent stable 2.1 rom for how to root.. it took me 2min to change my boot img
I'm having trouble. I have been able to push downloaded boot animations from my mac to my phone, but I haven't been able to properly zip and push my own.
I create a file "bootanimation" with desc, part0, and part1 in it. I zip the bootanimation file and put the "bootanimation.zip" into sdk/tools, and then I push it onto my phone. My phone receives it, I unplug it from my computer, and then I restart it. However, when I turn it back on, the animation doesn't run--it goes straight from the moto logo to the unlock screen. What am I doing wrong???
I have adjustied the zip compression level to 0 using stuffit, but it still doesn't work.
Thanks, it worked using Windows. I was scared because that M seemed like it was just sitting there and the animation kept going and going and going...
And yes...I was able to delete the bootanimation.zip file afterwards, which reversed the changes.
