Hello all! New to these forums.
So I got a Droid X this past Christmas; however, I want to root it as I could use some of the functions that are available to only root users. I am not interested in ROMs at the moment.
Here's my worry. I can root the phone, but if I need to unroot it, how do I? I've read many of the topics on the internet about this, but I still don't understand how to go back to stock.
I run Android 2.2.1 (or so my phone says). Is there a 1-click root option for Froyo yet? Once it is rooted, if I want to go back to stock, is there a 1-click "unroot" option, or some way to reset to factory defaults?
My last question is this: If I root, I backup with Titanium Backup (or ClockworkMod; is there a difference?). If I have to go back to stock via factory reset, can I root later and reload all of my apps and settings?
