First I brought this up in Tech Issues, but no one bit.
Then I brought it up in the GPA12 thread for Pete's OG Droid Gingerbread rom, but I understand now this isn't an issue with Pete's rom so the topic doesn't belong there.
I've learned a bit more and it seems that Google has removed support for some music file formats like WMAs in Gingerbread.
I've seen on some other forums, in other android phone ROMs that editing build.prop to enable media file access for these file extensions would make a difference, but from what I've tried so far it's been no-go.
Not as many people use WMAs anymore but I have a large amount of them from yester-year that I'd like to continue to play on my phone.
Does anyone have any ideas on how we can hack 2.3 to reenable this music support?
