I appreciate the quick response. Unfortunately I still have the same problem. I get this message when I try to run relfash.

Is there an option to root a dinc using a G4 ppc? It looks like Reflash is for intel macs.

Not at the moment but thanks for trying. FYI, I did look at the plist for Reflash and it specifies Snow Leopard as the operating system. It looks like all I need to do is upgrade and I should be in business.

It sucks that you have to upgrade your Mac operating system, just to root your phone. Can't you use one of those Windows emulating devices, like BootCamp?

Not as bad as it sounds. I checked and the upgrade is only $30. Been meaning to do it anyway...since about 2008...

Go here: How to root stock 2.2 using unrEVOked 3.32 and read the entire thread.

I followed the instructions carefully. When I download reflash and extract the file from the disk image to my desktop it has a circle with a diagonal line overlaid on it. When I try to run the program it starts and then almost immediately closes. I am pretty sure that means it will not work with my setup.

I have a ppc g4 processor which doesn't run Snow Leopard. Are there any root options that don't involve purchasing parallels or another windows imager?
