I have a Moto Droid (since Nov 2009)... Love my phone, but I'm not a hacker type. I recently got an iPad and after spending all day today reading this forum and others have come to the conclusion that the only way to connect my iPad is to 'root' my Droid and connect via wifi...
I am hesitant to 'root' ... I actually got it all to work (using SuperOneClick) and Google's wireless tether earlier today but I undid it.
I undid it because it seems like that there may be long term maintenance that I would have to do for my rooted phone and I'm not sure I'm comfortable doing that.
So, if I rooted my Droid only to do the tethering would I have to do anything else to keep things working?
