I'm currently using a Motorola Droid (First Gen) until my contract is up. I received this Droid from a friend, who rooted it using Superuser v184.108.40.206.
Whats going on is, I keep getting these notifications for a System Update. It is a 3.4MB update, and when I go to do the update, the phone reboots, and goes into a program called Android system recovery. Patched by SirPsychoS (0.99.3b)
I then see the following:
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E:update.zip install blocked
No matter what I do, I can't do this update, because I get this every single time.
Is there a way around this block I'm seeing here?
The options I have as follows...
reboot system now
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
I choose the install option, but NOTHING works there. Only thing I can really do is reboot and wait until this notification comes up again (usually in about a week or so).
