Hi, I'm Daniel (deershoot3r online) and I'm new to this forum so please correct me if i am in the wrong area, but i got a DROID X about 2 weeks ago, and I'm very familiar with roms and computer and all that junk so i know a little about rooting and a lot about modding of devices/consoles. But what i was wondering is my droid x is on 2.2.1 and it has a kernal version of 220.127.116.11-g55626e1 w30471@il93lnxdroid08 #1
I was wondering does it matter what kernal version i have? Or can i root any kernal version?
Also is there an easy way to remove traces of a ROOT just in case i have to turn it back into verizon for repairs or anything that might happen to it?
And another thing, if i can root this phone what would be the best rooting method (wired or wireless)
