i think all my paths are correct
davros@slaptop:~$ echo $PATH
tho looking at it here dunno why the /home/davros is repeated a few times.. but everything downloaded, source wise and motorola device sholes. i think i am ready for that weird looking code up top but as i say it looks like 4 lines?
yes friend its 4 different lines
and about /home/davros being repeated a few times, thats ok. it just shows that everything starts from home/davros
ok i ran into a few mistakes on my part so now... i get this attempting to get the sholes stuff
davros@slaptop:~/mydroid/system/device/motorola/sholes$ git clone http://github.com/Cyanogenmod/androi...ingerbread.git sholes
Initialized empty Git repository in /home/davros/mydroid/system/device/motorola/sholes/sholes/.git/
fatal: http://github.com/Cyanogenmod/androi....git/info/refs not found: did you run git update-server-info on the server?
but looking at the actually git.hub site i see its there...........
man this is easy feet, i just wana start building already lol and leaving you guys alone......
edit................................... oh look at this
The extract-files.sh for sholes is broken.
On 12/28 at
https://github.com/mtwebster/android_device_motorola_sholes/commit/0acc60ae426d522b5afdd3d1afc2c0a81b4d9f3e files were removed from being pulled but not removed from sholes-vendor-blobs.mk. This broke the build.
anyone know where else to find the files???
i see you are running the command as http but in the middle of your post you went looking using httpS
ya still no so with or whit out te "s"

Both urls resolve in a browser just not in terminal as you can see
Hey everyone I have some free time now so I wanted to start poking around into some of this. Managed to get to the repo portion but right now it's telling me that command isn't found.
That part. I'm running Ubuntu 10.10 in Virtualbox for what it's worth.
Code: repo init -u git://android.git.kernel.org/platform/manifest.git -b froyo
Great help in here hopefully someday I can contribute something back by learning some of this stuff dancedroid
