cancelling text message

sometimes ill accidentally hit send on a text before i am finished and i was wondering if there was a way to cancel the send before the little envelope goes away. on my old phone i could hit the end button but obviously not an option on droid.

I do the same thing and have the same problem. So far I haven't found a solution

It's all part of Googles efforts for world dominance. Not only do they want to control everything about you they put that send key in that location so now they can know your thoughts before you even finish them!

I did that multiple times when getting used to my phone... at 20 cents a text it added up. I too would love to kn ow of any solution... as I still do it frequently.

In my experience, the text is sent way too quickly to cancel it. Takes about 3 seconds (max) to send the text, and that's if it's slow. Most of the time, my Droid sends it almost instantly. There's just no time to cancel the text before it gets sent...
