Question K9 and self signed certificates

Has this issue been resolved yet?

e.g. if the it guys use self signed certificates for their exchange server, in the past k9 would not allow you to ignore the issue with the certificate in your setup configuration. Therefore you could not connect with the exchange server.

Hoping to be able to search my exchange email someday, cannot believe that Motorola or Google have not implemented that one yet.
